The best systems are the ones people actually use

Get your time back — and your systems sorted.

AI is being pushed at you from every direction — but a pile of new tools isn't what you need. System Advance helps you solidify and optimise the systems you already run on: automating the manual work that eats your evenings, and fixing the structure holding your growth back.

What we do

Two ways to advance

Start with a diagnostic built for where you are right now — then keep advancing from there.

For owners drowning in admin

The Time Audit

For owners drowning in admin. We find exactly where your time goes, then build the highest-impact automation to give some of it back — so you can stop spending your evenings on busywork.

Ongoing partnership

Once we've found the wins, I can keep building — implementing the plan, refining your systems, and keeping your operations advancing as you grow.

Talk about working together
How it works

Map. Plan. Advance.

A clear, jargon-free path from "everything's a bit stuck" to a working fix.

1

Map

We start with a focused diagnostic — a conversation about your business, then a look at how your time and your team actually work day to day.

2

Plan

You get a clear, jargon-free picture of where the time and friction are going, with practical fixes ranked by effort versus impact.

3

Advance

We put the highest-impact fix in place — a working automation or your first priority — and agree what to tackle next.

The cost of broken systems

Small businesses are losing hours every week

Not to a lack of effort — to manual admin, dropped handoffs, and tools nobody actually adopted. The research is blunt about where the time goes.

0 in 5 NZ small-business owners say admin is hurting their wellbeing and their passion for the work. Xero NZ small-business survey, 1,000+ owners
0 Of the average work week disappears into manual, repetitive tasks — for the 40%+ of workers who report it. Smartsheet automation research
0 hrs A week — almost a full workday — most people reckon they could win back by automating the repetitive stuff. Smartsheet automation research

The good news: that lost time is recoverable. A focused audit finds the biggest drains first — and many NZ businesses qualify for up to 50% co-funding through the Government's AI Advisory Pilot.

About

About System Advance

I'm William Delacey. AI is everywhere right now — pushed at you left, right and centre — but I'm not here to add to the noise or sell you another tool. I'm here to help you solidify and optimise the systems your business actually runs on, because the best systems are the ones people actually use — not the most sophisticated ones, the ones that stick.

Whether that means automating the manual work eating your evenings, or fixing the team structure holding back your growth, it comes down to the same thing: removing the operational drag that stops a business from advancing. No buzzwords, no big-firm overhead — just a clear diagnosis and practical fixes.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is this just another AI pitch?

No. AI is being pushed at businesses from every direction, and a lot of it solves problems you don't actually have. I start with how your business really works, then recommend the simplest fix that sticks — sometimes that's an AI workflow, often it's just a better system. The best systems are the ones people actually use.

How do we get started?

With a free discovery call. We talk through where your business is getting stuck, and afterwards I send you a tailored, no-obligation recommendation for the best way forward. Many NZ businesses also qualify for the Government's AI Advisory Pilot, which can co-fund up to 50% of eligible consulting costs.

Which service is right for me?

If you're a small, owner-run business drowning in admin and want your evenings back, start with the Time Audit. If you're a growing team — roughly 5 to 30 people — where things that worked at 5 people are breaking at 15, the Advance Audit is built for you. Not sure? Take the free System Check for an instant score and tailored tips, or just book a discovery call.

Can I get Government funding for this?

Quite possibly. Many NZ small businesses qualify for the Government's AI Advisory Pilot, run by MBIE through the Regional Business Partner Network, which can co-fund up to 50% (capped at $15,000) of developing an AI plan for your business. It's worth asking your local Regional Business Partner whether you're eligible. I've written a plain-English guide to how it works — read it here.
